Your family is covered for following financial expenses upto PKR 75,000/- monthly for the period of one (1) year in case of unfortunate event i.e. Death or Accidental Permanent Total Disability.

Takaful Coverage:

1. Exclusions

  • Pre-existing condition which includes disease and incapacity or bodily injury which existed prior to this coverage.
  • Suicide and attempt to suicide, murder, self-inflicted injury and illegal act of the covered member.
  • Participating in exercises or operations while serving with of the armed or paramilitary forces or while performing any form of police duty.

2. Apply for Takaful Claim

In case of unfortunate event, the customer or the nominated beneficiary (next of kin: blood relative) shall directly contact to Takaful Company at the following address and submit claim form:

3. Terms & Condition:

  • Customers age 65 & above are excluded from this policy.
  • Customers with dormant accounts (Inactive for 12 months) are not eligible for takaful coverage.
  • Account monthly average balances less then Rs. 100,000/- are not covered in this policy.
  • Accidental Death/Disability reported after 90 days of the occurrence of the accident will be excluded.
  • The policy is non-transferable and non-saleable.
  • Closure of the account, where the reason is other than the death of the account holder, will result in automatic cancellation of the policy cover.
  • Policy coverage shall come into effect immediately at the time of account opening by the customer as per eligibility.
  • The customer or nominated beneficiary will also submit further documents as demanded/required by Takaful Company.
  • In case of joint account, the primary accountholder is eligible for claims and benefits.
  • In case of hospitalization, EFU Life-WTO will pay the daily benefit to customers if he/she is inpatient within the hospital for at least 24 consecutive hours under the continuous attendance of a Physician.
  • 180 nights will be covered in a year for hospitalization daily benefits.

The Bank shall not be liable for any action or lack therefore on the part of the third party. The customer hereby indemnifies and holds harmless the Bank against any loss, liability or damage arising from utilization of services of a third party whether if the same were referred to the customer by the Bank or not. Q. How many days in a year are covered under Hospital Cash Benefit?

Hospital Cash Benefit can be claimed for a maximum of 180 days in a year.

The coverage term is on monthly basis.

For uninterrupted coverage, you need to maintain PKR 100,000 or above monthly average balance in your Esaar account.

Q. Under Hospital Cash Benefit am I covered for Out-patient expenses?

No, under Hospital Cash Benefit twenty-four (24) hours hospital confinement is mandatory.

Q. What is not covered in this plan?

For Death Benefit:

  • Murder, suicide, self-inflicted injury and illegal act
  • Event happening in War Inflicted Areas

For Hospital Cash Benefits:

Q. What is the process of claim intimation?

In case of unfortunate event, the customer or the nominated beneficiary (next of kin: blood relative) shall directly contact to Takaful Company at the following address and submit claim form within maximum ninety (90) days:

Q. What are the necessary claim documents to be submitted to EFU Life – Window Takaful Operations claims department?

For Death and Accidental Death Benefit:

  • Copy of death certificate issued by NADRA or union council
  • Copy of CNIC of deceased and claimant
  • Claimant's statement
  • Succession certificate & original guardianship certificate (Incase nominee is minor)
  • Claim form with signature
  • FIR and Postmortem report in case of Accidental Death (where required)
  • Any other document deemed necessary by EFU Life – WTO

For Reimbursement of Hospitalization Benefit:

  • Treatment record of hospital which includes dates of admission and discharge, medical diagnosis and treatment
  • Covered Member’s CNIC copy
  • Police and medico legal reports are required in case of hospitalization due to accident, violence and attempted suicide
  • In case of accident, receipts of treatment expenses and prescriptions issued by doctor and the hospital
  • Attending Physician's report
  • Copies of all medical records
  • Any other document deemed necessary by EFU Life - WTO

Q. How much time does it take to settle the claims?

All claims will be settled in seven (7) working days after the submission of complete required documents.
