You can check your booked Term Deposits by logging into your UBL Digital App, click on Accounts and select Term Deposit. All the booked Term Deposits will appear under this section. To check the details of individual Term Deposit, click on summary.

What is the minimum and maximum booking amount?

The minimum investment amount is: Term Deposit Product Type Minimum Investment Amount UBL Mahana Aamdani Term Deposit Rs. 25,000 (progressing in multiples of Rs.25,000) UBL Certificate of Deposit (COD Maturity) Rs. 50,000 (progressing in multiples of Rs.25,000) There is no limit to the maximum amount of investment that can be made in a Term Deposit.

What rates are offered on these Term Deposit?

The rates offered are as per the Bank’s prevailing rate sheet for Certificate of Deposit (CoD-at Maturity), or Mahana Aamdani Term Deposit. You can also view the rates on each tenor whenever you place a deal in the UBL Digital app.

What tenors can the deals be booked at?

The deals can be booked for the below tenors for all products: • 3 months • 6 months • 1 year • 3 years • 5 years • 10 years

How frequently is the profit paid out on the Term Deposit?

The profit on each product is paid: Term Deposit Product Type Profit Payment Frequency UBL Mahana Aamdani Term Deposit Monthly UBL Certificate of Deposit (COD Maturity) At Maturity

What is rollover facility?

A rollover refers to automatic renewal of the Term Deposit, i.e. the amount invested will be automatically reinvested after the Term Deposit matures, for the same tenor at the prevalent profit rate. The rates prevalent can be viewed at https://ubldigital.com/About-UBL/Rates

How can I stop rollover of my term deposit?

You can stop automatic investment rollover by visiting your account branch.

Can the rate on these TDRs change mid- tenor?

No, the rates in CoD and Mahana Aamdani Term Deposit will remain same throughout their tenor.

Will there be any zakat deduction on these Term Deposit?

Yes, Zakat will be deducted as per the Zakat and Ushr Ordinance, 1980.

Are withholding tax charges applicable on profits disbursed?

Yes, and the rate applicable will be dependent on your ATL File/Non-Filer status. However, these taxes will be deducted in a separate transaction following immediately after the profit disbursal.

Are there any charges on Early Encashment?

Upon Early encashment, profit will be paid on minimum saving rates set by SBP applicable at the time of booking.

How do I encash my term deposits?

You can encash your previously booked deals by visiting your parent account branch and requesting to do so.
