• What is my transaction limit and how can I change it?
  Your daily transaction limit is set to PKR 100,000 by default. To change your daily transaction limit, follow these steps:
  1. Enter your preferred daily transaction limit
  2. Input your valid UBL debit card number.
  3. Provide your ATM PIN.
  4. Finally, tap 'Done' to confirm the change.
  You've successfully updated your daily Transaction limit!
• How can I switch to e-statements?
  You can switch to e-statements by opting for "Go Green" through the Digital App. Here's how:
  After signing in or signing up on the app, you'll receive a 'Go Green' pop-up. Tap 'Continue' to access e-statements anytime and anywhere!
  Once you make the switch to e-statements, the bank will no longer send paper-based statements to your mailing address. However, you can easily download your e-statements in PDF format directly from the Digital App.
• I want to download my account statement from the App. What can I do?
  Here's how to download your account statement easily:
  1. Sign in to the app and tap on "Accounts.
  2. Select "Account Statement" and then tap on "Download" in the top right corner.
  3. You'll see a list of options indicating the duration of the account statement you want to download.
  4. Choose your preferred timeframe, and your account statement will be downloaded and available in PDF format in your downloads.
• How can I create alerts within the app?
  Once you sign into the app, follow the steps below:
  1. Tap on your profile icon on the top left corner
  2. Tap on the "Settings" and tap "My Alerts"
  3. If you want to create transaction alerts, simply tap "New Alert"
  4. Select your preferred email address and account for which you require alerts
  5. Select "Transaction Type"
  6. Set your transaction range for which you want to get notified for
  7. Tap "Done" and you are set for your transaction alerts!
• I forgot my password. How can I reset it?
  You can reset your password from within the app by following the steps below:
  1. Open UBL Digital App
  2. Tap "Need help signing in?"
  3. Tap on "Reset Password"
  4. Enter your username
  5. Verify your details by entering your email address and registered mobile number
  6. Enter your new password and tap "next" Congratulations, now you can sign-in to the app with your new password.

• I don’t remember my username, how do I reset it?
  You can reset your username from within the app by following the steps below:
  1. Open UBL Digital App
  2. Tap "Need help signing in?"
  3. Tap on "Recover username"
  4. Verify your details by entering your registered mobile number and CNIC
  5. Enter last four digits of your account number and tap "continue"
  6. Your username will be automatically Congratulations, your new username for UBL Digital App is now set.

• Can I update my contact information via the app (i.e. Phone number, address, email address, etc.)?
  Currently, this service is not available via the app however, you can call our 24/7 contact center to update your information or you can visit UBL branch that is nearest to you.
• In my credit card account statement, my available balance and my current balance don't add up. Why is that so?
  In some cases, merchants won’t give us everything we need to show a transaction in your feed straight away, but your balance will still change. So it can look like everything doesn’t add up.
  This usually fixes itself in within 24 hours when the merchant gives us what we need. If your balance still looks wrong once all your transactions are up to date, please get in touch with our contact center.

Account Opening

• Can I open an account via UBL App?
  You can open a mobile account from within our app. This will act as your mobile wallet. Here's how you can apply for it. All you need is your mobile number and your CNIC.
  1. Once you open the UBL Digital App, tap on "More." You'll find it at the bottom left corner of your screen.
  2. Tap on "Open an Account".
  3. When you tap on "Get Started," we'll ask you for your name, CNIC details and mobile number (which should be registered against your CNIC).
  4.For security purposes, we'll ask you for OTP verification. The OTP will be automatically entered without you requiring to input digits.
  5. Then, we'll ask you a few security questions to keep your account safe in future.
  6. You will create your username and password for your account that you can use to sign-in once your account is created.
  7. Let us know if you require a debit card. If you do, provide us with a name to print onto it and activate it once it arrives.
  That’s it! You’re ready to use UBL Digital Mobile Account to spend, save and manage your everyday transactions.

• I have signed up for UBL Netbanking and I have downloaded the app on my device. Do I have to register my phone or do anything else before I log in?
  If you have already signed up to UBL Netbanking you can login to Digital App via the same login credentials.
• I have already opened an account with UBL. Do I still need to sign-up for digital account?
  All you need is your registered mobile number and CNIC details used during account opening.
  Here are four convenient ways to sign-up for a digital account:
  1. Debit Card Sign-up: Sign up for a digital account by entering your debit card details. If you haven't already activated your debit card, it will be done within this process.
  2. Instant Sign-up: Use your CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) and your registered mobile number to sign-up. This sign-up method comes with certain financial limits but allows you to access important features.
  3. QR Code Sign-up: If a friend or family member shares an invite-based QR code with you, simply scan it, and you'll instantly set up your digital account.
  4. Secure Code Sign-up: Contact our customer support center, and our agent will provide you with a secure code to help you sign up securely.
  Choose the method that suits you best, and enjoy the convenience of digital banking.
• I am a joint account holder. Can I register for the UBL Digital App?
  For now, this option is not available for joint account holders on digital app. However, we're considering the addition of it to better serve our customers who have joint accounts.

UBL Digital App

• I am having trouble logging-in to UBL Digital App. How can I log-in?
  To log in to the UBL Digital App, ensure you're connected to the internet. If it doesn't work on your wi-fi connection, switch to your mobile network data.
  If you need to use a different user ID, follow these steps:
  1. Go to the app settings.
  2. Clear your cache.
  This will allow you to sign in with a different user ID.
• My UBL Digital App is not working. What should I do?
  It seems like you might have an older version of the app. Here's what you can do:
  1. Go to your app store.
  2. Look for our app and update it. We release new updates every month.
  If the issue persists, feel free to reach out to our customer support at the contact center. They'll be happy to assist you.
• How can I log a complaint, in case of any issue pertaining to the functionality or the features of the App?

• Can I use Touch ID or Face ID to login to the app?
  Yes, (if your phone is enabled to), once you've registered, you may choose to enable Touch ID or Face ID to login to the UBL Digital App. You always have the option to switch back to signing in via your password.
• I want to switch to dark mode on my UBL App. How can I do so?
  Once you sign into the app, follow the steps below:
  1. Tap on your profile icon on the top left corner
  2. Tap on the "Settings" and tap "Appearance" and select your preffered mode.

Card Management

• Can I request Debit/Credit Card through the App?
  Yes, you can request a new Primary or Secondary ATM Card through the app by following these steps:
  1. Sign in and tap on "Accounts."
  2. Select "Card Management"" and tap on "Request Card+"
  3. Choose your preferred card type, either physical or virtual, and then select one of the following: Primary Debit Card, Secondary Debit Card, or Credit Card.
  4. Fill in all the required information according to the card type you've chosen.
  Once you submit your request, we will send you your new card in a few days.
• How can I activate my card from the app?
  Here's how to activate your card using the Digital App:
  If you're signing up for the first time, use the "Sign Up via Debit Card" option. Your debit card will be automatically activated, and you'll also get access to our app.
  For existing users, follow these steps:
  1. Sign in to the Digital App.
  2. Navigate to 'Accounts' > "Card Management."
  3. Select your card.
  4. Activate the card by turning on the lock toggle.
• Where can I find my card details in the app?
  Checking your card details within the app is easy. Just follow these steps:
  1. Sign in to the Digital App and tap on "Accounts."
  2. Select "Card Management" and choose the specific card for which you want to view details.
  3. You'll see your card's expiry date, linked account number, and card status.
  You can also temporarily lock and unlock your card or change your PIN.
• I want to change my card pin. How can I do so?
  Here's how to you can change your card pin using the Digital App:
  1. Sign in to the Digital App.
  2. Navigate to 'Accounts' > 'Card Management.'
  3. Select your card.
  4. Tap "Change Pin"
  5. Create a new 4-digit pin and tap "Confirm"
  Remember to never share your card PIN with anyone.
• I had requested for a new card. It still shows pending. When will I receive it?
  If it's been more than 4 working days and you still have not received your card, call our contact center. Our representatives can help you track it.
• How can I check deals & discounts on my card
  Enjoy exclusive deals and discounts with UBL!
  To stay updated on the latest offers for your debit or credit card, simply follow these steps within the UBL Digital App:
  1. Open the UBL Digital App.
  2. Tap on "More" at the bottom left corner.

• My card got stolen. How can I request for a new one?
  If your debit/credit card is stolen, it's crucial to temporarily block it. Follow these steps to do so:
  
  1. Sign in to the app.
  2. Go to Accounts > Card Management.
  3. Select your card.
  4. Tap the Lock icon.
  6. Choose a reason for locking your card and tap 'Done.'
  
  Your card will remain locked until the issue is resolved or you choose to unlock it.
• How can I order a secondary card?
  To request a Secondary card, follow these steps:
  1. Sign in to the Digital App and tap on "Accounts."
  2. Select "Card Management" and tap on "Request Card+."
  3. Choose your preferred card type, either physical or virtual, and then select Secondary Debit Card.
  4. Fill in all the required information based on the card type you've chosen.
  Once you submit your request, we will process a new card request for you.
• Who can apply for WIZ Virtual Card?
  Existing UBL customers with an active current or savings accounts can opt for a UBL WIZ Prepaid Card form within the App.
• Where can I use my WIZ Virtual Card?
  Your WIZ Virtual Card can be used for transaction at any online merchant (purchases on the internet) accepting Mastercard payments.
• How can I top up my UBL WIZ through Digital App?
  To top up your UBL WIZ Card, follow these steps:
  1. Sign in to the Digital App.
  2. Tap on "Payments" and select "Prepaid Services."
  3. Choose "WIZ Top Up" and tap on "Add+" to add your WIZ Card.
  4. Select the account you'd like to 'Pay from'.
  5. Enter the amount you'd like to top up onto your WIZ card.
  6. Review the details and tap "Continue."

Cheque Management

• How can I digitally deposit a cheque?
  You can easily deposit a cheque online using our "Deposit UBL Cheque" feature within the Digital App. Here's how:
  
  1. Sign in to the Digital App.
  2. Tap on "Accounts."
  3. Select 'Cheque Management' and then tap on "Deposit UBL Cheque."
  4. Carefully follow the provided instructions and tap 'continue.'
  5. To submit a cheque, choose the account where you want to deposit it and enter the cheque date as written on the cheque.
  6. Enter the amount indicated on the cheque.
  7. Scan both the front and back sides of the cheque following the app's guidance. 8. Ensure the images are clear and legible.
  9. Review all the details and tap "Submit."
  
  Congratulations! You have successfully deposited a UBL cheque online without needing to visit a branch. The cheque will be cleared within 48 hours.
  
  You can also check the status in "Cheque History."
• I deposited a cheque digitally but I did not receive the amount. What should I do?
  Normally, when you deposit a cheque, it takes us approximately 48 hours to verify the information and clear the amount. If you deposited a cheque less than 48 hours ago, kindly wait for an alert regarding the transfer of the amount to your account.
  Additionally, you can check the status of the cheque in the 'Cheque History' section within "Cheque Management" in the app.
  If the issue persists, please contact our contact center for help.
• Can I see all of my deposited cheques in the app?
  Yes, you can by following the below steps:
  1. Sign in to the Digital App.
  2. Tap on "Accounts."
  3. Select "Cheque Management" and then tap on "Cheque History."

UBL Digital App

• Who can use UBL Digital App?
  If you have a current or savings account with UBL, you can use the Digital App. All you need to sign up is your CNIC and your mobile number.
• Where can I see the apps terms and conditions?
  Once you sign-in to the app, tap on the profile icon on top left corner. Scroll to the bottom to find the terms & conditions.
• How can I invite someone to UBL Digital App?
  You can invite your friends/family to join UBL by sharing a QR invite code using "My QR"
• How can I find out which UBL branch is nearest to my location?
  1. Open the UBL Digital App.
  2. Before you log in, tap "More" in the bottom left corner.
  3. Tap on "Locate Us."
  Our app will show you the branches nearest to you along with their contact information.
• Will I be charged any fee for using UBL Digital?
  UBL Digital is absolutely free! You will not be charged a fee for being an app user, though some transactions do have charges attached. Please check the schedule of charges for more information.

• What payments can be made through Digital App?
  You can use the UBL Digital App to make a wide range of payments:
  1. Mobile Top-up: Easily recharge anyone's mobile phone.
  2. Pay Anyone: Pay individuals or beneficiaries with accounts in UBL or other listed banks.
  3. Pay via Raast: Send or receive payments using your mobile number.

  With "Pay Anyone," you have various options to pay or transfer funds to someone:

  • Add UBL Branch account
  • Add UBL Omni Account
  • Add through IBAN
  • Transfer funds to CNIC
  • Add Other Bank Account (1-link member bank)
  • Transfer funds via Raast ID
• How can I add an IBAN in my payee list to transfer funds?
  Here's a step-by-step guide to adding a payee via IBAN:
  1. Once you're logged in, tap on the "Payments" option.
  2. Next, choose "Pay Anyone" and then tap on "Add+"
  3. Select "IBAN" as the payment method.
  4. Enter the 24-digit IBAN number and tap on "continue"
  5. Double-check the account information to make sure it's correct, and then tap "save"
  6. You'll be prompted to verify your identity using a one-time password (OTP).
  Once you've completed these steps, the account will be added to your list of payees, and you'll be all set to transfer funds.
• Can I make fund transfers within and outside UBL using the digital app?
  Yes, transferring funds, within and outside UBL, can be done through the UBL Digital App.
• Can I set up recurring transfers in the mobile app?
  Absolutely! You can do this easily using our Schedule Payments feature:
  1. Sign in to the Digital App.
  2. Tap on "Payments."
  3. Select "Schedule Payment" and tap "Add+" to create a new payment.
  4. Choose your payment type from our extensive list.
  5. Pick the account you'd like to "Pay from".
  6. Select the start date, frequency, and the number of times you want the payment to repeat.
  7. Enter the desired amount.
  8. Review the details and tap "Continue."
  Next time you won't have to make this payment yourself!
• How can I transfer funds on CNIC?
  Here's how you can send money to someone's CNIC number and save them as a beenficiary for future transfers:
  1. After signing in, go to "Payments."
  2. Tap "Pay Anyone" and tap the "Add +" in the top right corner.
  3. Choose "Nadra CNIC."
  4. Enter the Payee's name, CNIC, Mobile Number, and email address (optional).
  5. Complete the transfer.
  When you send funds to someone's CNIC, they will have to take their CNIC, along with the unique code we'll send to the nearest UBL Omni shop to withdraw the funds sent.
• Do I have to add bills to process payments?
  Yes, you need to add bill in order to make a payment. You can do so by following below steps:
  1. Once you sign-in to the Digital App, tap on "Payments"
  2. Tap "Bill Management" and choose your preferred bill payment type.
  3. Tap "Add+" to add a bill you want to pay off.
  4. From the list provided, select the organization or company you need to pay the bill to.
  5. Depending on the type of bill, add the required information.
  6. Once you add all the relevant information, tap "save"
  
• What type of bills can be paid through Digital App?
  You can pay the following bills through the UBL Digital App:

  • Utility Bills
  • Mobile Bills/Top-up
  • Internet Service Provider (ISP) Bill

• Can I set up recurring bill payments in the mobile app?
  Absolutely! You can easily set up recurring bill payments using our Schedule Payments feature:
  1. Sign in to the Digital App.
  2. Tap on "Payments."
  3. Select "Schedule Payment" and tap "Add+" to create a new payment.
  4. Tap "Utility Bills" from our extensive list of payment type.
  5. Choose the bill you want to schedule for later payments.
  6. Pick the account you'd like to "Pay from" and select payment limit.
  7. Select the start date, frequency, and the number of times you want the payment to repeat.
  8. Enter the desired amount.
  9. Review the details and tap "Continue."
  Next time you won't have to make this payment yourself!
• Can I pay fee of any school through School Fee paayment?
  You can pay school fees for any of the schools listed with us in the Digital App. We have a wide range of schools available.
• How can I pay fee to the listed schools through Fee Payment option?
  Here's how you can make a fee payment using the app:
  1. Sign-in to the app.
  2. Tap on the "Payments" option.
  3. Next, choose "Fee Payment" and then tap on "Add+"
  4. Select your preferred fee payment option.
  5. Select Institution/Organziation to whom you want to pay.
  6. Add Student ID and proceed.
  7. The student's name and ID will appear for your confirmation.
  8. You'll be prompted to verify your payment using a one-time password (OTP).
  9. You can choose the fee you want to pay by selecting 'Pay.' In case of multiple challans, select the relevant fee challan number.
  10. Tap on "Pay" and receive confirmation of transaction.
• My transaction was reversed but the amount was deducted. What should I do?
  If your transaction gets reversed but the amount is still deducted, please wait for the next 24 hours for the amount to be refunded to your account.
  If the issue persists, please call our contact center for help.
• I made a transaction from my account but the beneficiary did not receive it. What should I do?
  When you send a payment, it should arrive within seconds. However, in some cases, it may take up to one working day if the receiving bank needs to perform additional checks.
  
  If a payment is taking longer than expected:

  • Double-check that the recipient's account number is correct, and that you entered it accurately.
  • If the details are incorrect, call our contact centre agent to report the issue with complete transaction details.
  • If you suspect you've fallen victim to a scam, please contact us immediately for assistance.

  If the details are correct, but the payment still hasn't appeared in the recipient's account after a day:

  • Reach out to us, and we'll investigate the issue for you.

QR

• I am a UBL Digital App customer; how can I generate QR to refer UBL Digital to my friends?
  You can generate a referral QR code from the App. All you need is to follow below steps:
  1. Open your Digital App.
  2. Tap on 'More' in the bottom left corner.
  3. Select 'My QR' and tap 'Share' to send the QR code to your friends for quick sign-up to UBL Digital!
• How can I sign-up for UBL Digital App, using QR?
  1. Once you receive a QR Code, go to UBL Digital App.
  2. Tap sign-up as soon as you open the App.
  3. Select "Instant Sign-up".
  4. Tap on "Scan Now" and scan the QR code and you'll instantly set up your digital account.
• I have an Omni account at UBL can I sign-up for digital app using QR?
  Yes, this sign-up procedure is valid for all Deposit accounts, Omni Accounts & Credit cards.
• How can I send and receive money via QR?
  QR codes are a convenient way to make and receive payments quickly, without the need to share links or phone numbers.
  To use QR codes for payments, you'll first need to enable this feature in your Digital App. Here's how:
  1. After signing in to the Digital App, tap on your profile icon in the top left corner.
  2. Tap on 'Settings' and select 'QR Settings.'
  3. Under 'Instant QR,' enable QR payments by toggling the switch.
  Once QR payments are enabled, follow these steps:
  1. Go to 'Payments' and choose 'QR Pay.'
  2. Select either 'Receive Money' or 'Send Money.'
  3. Generate a dynamic QR code that you can share with the recipient.
  4. Choose the 'Account' and set the QR code's validity.
  5. Enter the amount to be received or sent and tap 'Proceed to Pay.'
  Share the newly generated QR code with the recipient, and you can instantly send or receive money!
• Can I save and use the same QR to refer other friends?
  Yes, you can save this QR in the mobile gallery, and it can be used by multiple people to Sign up for UBL Digital App.

Security & Fraud

• I am unable to enter OTP. What should I do?
  Don't worry!
  We’ve noticed that sometimes, people can share their OTPs by accident and this may lead to them losing money to fraud schemes.
  To prevent this, we've made a change. You won't have to type in your OTP anymore. Your trusted device will automatically enter OTP onto the screen. This keeps your OTP secure and prevents accidental sharing. So, no one can steal it now!
• Is UBL Digital App safe to use?
  Here are just some of the ways we detect or prevent fraudsters from getting your money:

  • For security, we require you to provide a PIN, biometrics, and SMS code when using the digital app
  • When making online purchases, you must confirm transactions via the app.
  • Payments to new recipients require confirmation and have a freeze period when you sign into a new device
  • Unique security features include disposable virtual cards and instant freezing of suspicious transactions.
  • We never contact customers via phone without verifying first. You should carefully review alerts, and contact us if in doubt.
• I got tricked by a fraudster. What should I do now?
  If you suspect a fraudulent transfer or account risk, follow these steps:
  1. Cut off contact with the scammer/fraudster.
  2. Reach out to our Contact Center agent from your registered mobile number and request a temporary account block.
  3. If you can't reach an agent, change your account password immediately.
  4. Visit your nearest branch and complete a dispute form for our investigation.
  
  If you're worried about a compromised card, follow the steps below:
  1. Open the App.
  2. Go to Accounts > Card Management.
  3. Select your Card.
  4. Tap the Lock icon.
  5. Choose a reason to lock your card and tap Done.
  
  Your card will remain temporarily locked for 30 days, after which it will be permanently locked.
• I got a call from UBL contact center asking to make a transaction. Is it scam?
  Stay alert to scams!
  Fraudsters impersonate UBL through emails, calls, or texts. Here's what you need to know:

  • We'll never call you without prior notice, and definitely not from 111-825-888!
  • We'll confirm your identity with security questions before discussing your account to ensure it's you.
  • We'll never ask for sensitive info like your account number, username, password, card details, PIN, OTP, or any confidential data.

  If you doubt the caller, don't hesitate to hang up! Your security matters.
• How can I stay safe online?
  Stay one step ahead of online scams:

  • Beware of Social Engineering: Criminals may pose as trustworthy figures by researching you online. UBL will never call you out of the blue to move money. If in doubt, hang up and call our contact center.
  • Keep your information safe: Never share your username, password or OTPs with anyone.
  • Check Email Addresses: Emails from UBL should end with "@ubl.com.pk." Avoid tapping links in emails that don't follow this pattern. Only log in through the UBL app or Netbanking.
  • Use Antivirus: Keep your phone protected with antivirus software. Never share your account details with anyone. Remember, your email is the key to your UBL account, so guard it closely. Your security matters!
• I'm unable to make any financial transactions via UBL Digital App because the options are greyed out/unavailable
  We're sorry for the inconvenience. If you signed up via a QR code, you won't be able to make financial transactions on the app due to a security measure.
  To restore full access to mobile banking, please reach out to our contact center.
• How can I block and unblock my digital banking account?
  You can call our contact center and request to block/unblock your account. The request will be processed after due verification.
• My Account has been temporarily blocked. How should I unblock it?
  Your account might get temporarily blocked for a few reasons:

  • Entering the wrong password three times can trigger a temporary block. To fix this, uninstall and reinstall the app, reset your password, and then log in.
  • If your app isn't updated, check for updates in your app store.
  • Your device might be compromised (jail broken/rooted), which is a security risk. The UBL Digital App won't work on compromised devices. Contact your service provider or log in from a secure device to use UBL Digital App.
  • If you log in from a new device and try adding a payee right away, we temporarily block payee additions for 48 hours as a security measure.

  By following these security measures, you'll be less likely to fall victim to fraud, which often happens quickly and unnoticed.

• How can I ensure safety while using UBL Digital App on a public/open wifi?
  Keep your mobile and online banking safe by not using public wifi. Public wifi isn't secure, even if they ask for your email to connect. It can expose your sensitive information like PINs and passwords.
  Stick to using your secure 4G or 5G mobile data for banking in public spaces!
• How can I recognise a fraudster/Scam call?
  UBL will never ask to do the following on a call:
  1. Tell you to move money to a 'safe account.'
  2. Share your account details or pressure you to transfer money elsewhere.
  3. Ask for your passcodes, passwords, PIN, SMSs, card details, or personal information.
