Pre-existing physical/bodily injury, mental defect or infirmity which existed prior to the commencement date of Issuance.

Pregnancy, miscarriage, childbirth, or any non-malignant disease occurring in or in connection with the female reproductive organs.

Self-infected injury, intoxication, insanity, fighting or unlawful criminal act.

Flying other than as a passenger in a certified commercial aircraft.

War, civil war rebellion, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities (whether war is declared or not) or civil commotion. Service on duty with any armed, naval, air force service or para-military forces or civil armed forces. However, this exclusion is applied where such a person is employed for law enforcement and security duty and sustained injury whilst performing such duty.

Hazardous sports such as motorcycling, hunting, steeple chasing, mountaineering, racing of any kind winter sports, diving, parachuting, hang gliding, boxing, wrestling, under water activities requiring breathing apparatus.

Direct or Indirect result of Human Immune Deficiency Virus (HIV)

Alcohol, narcotic / drug unless taken as prescribed by a qualified registered medical practitioner.

Deliberate self-exposure to unnecessary danger expects in the attempt to save human life.

Disappearance except in the event of total loss by shipwreck of the ship or air crash of the aircraft.

Exceeding age of 65 years.

Terrorism or sabotage.
Additional Features:

Double Indemnity: If the person insured dies in any road, sea or air accident together with his/her spouse then the amount payable will be 1.5 times the sum insured.

Emergency Medical Transportation The company will pay the cost Emergency Medical Transportation to move the insured who has a critical medical condition due to an accident, to the nearest hospital where appropriate care and facilitate are available.
(The actual of Emergency Medical Transportation or PKR 10,000/- whichever is less)

Local Burial or Repatriation: In the event of accidental death, expenses incurred for repatriation and transportation of the mortal remains of the insured person from the place of death to home or preparation and local burial of the mortal remains of the insured person. (The actual amount of local burial / repatriation expenses OR PKR 10,000/- whichever is less).

In case of any claim, the claimant shall intimate UBL or UBL Insurers through any of the following ways within 90 days of uncertainty.

Call and register details in the claim form on recorded line by calling: 021-111-845-111 (UBL Insurers helpline) or 021-111-825-888 (UBL helpline)
Following documents shall be required from claimant for claim settlement:

Application for personal accident claim.

Copy of CNIC Claimant & Deceased. (Surveyor will verify from the concerned bank branch)

Copy of medical record. (Surveyor will verify from the concerned hospital)

Copy of Death Certificate issued by Hospital. (Surveyor will verify from the concerned hospital)

Copy of Death Certificate issued by Union Council. (Surveyor will verify from the concerned U.C.)

Copy of FIR. (Surveyor will verify from the concerned Police Station)

Attached Claim form duly filled by the claimant and signed/stamped by concerned bank branch/ page 1 and page 2 by concerned hospital.

Succession Certificate showing insurance claim amount issued by NADRA or Court.
Note: Claims that are to be entertained as per Insurance Coverage Customer’s (deceased) successor will be intimated same day after the account is credited.
*The Free Insurance Coverage for Accidental Death & Disability is a plan of UIL; UBL is only providing premium on behalf of the Current account holder, who enjoys this service free of cost. UBL shall not be liable to compensate any loss suffered by the Current account holder due to any delay in processing or settling the Current account holder’s insurance claim or refusal thereof.
