UBL Qatar came into existence on 10th Sep 1970 via an Emiri Decree. Since inception of the banks operations in this region it is amongst the pioneers of International Banking in the region. Servicing the local enterprises for over three decades, UBL has been instrumental in supporting large major local groups to expand their business in sectors of Oil & Gas, Automobiles, Infrastructure Development, and Trading etc.
Expansion in the Retail Banking network was focused upon and after 38 years of having a one branch operation, and we opened our 2nd full fledged branch at Salwa road. 8 ATM's have been installed in various prime locations throughout Qatar.
The main branch was relocated after 38 years, and a new modern look unit, similar to the refurbished branches across the GCC, was opened in 2008, at the Corniche, very close to the Main Bank Street, & opposite the Ministry of Finance & Qatar Central Bank .
